Lakshadweep, meaning “a hundred thousand islands” in Sanskrit, is a stunning archipelago located in the Arabian Sea off the southwestern coast of India. It consists of 36 islands. Out of these, only 10 islands are inhabited, with Kavaratti serving as the administrative capital.
